Darling, I honestly don’t see anyone arguing against you on this point. We all have a basic intelligence that allows us to understand that different races exist and that these races tended to be congregated in different parts of the world. So I truly doubt that any of us believe a middle eastern man from Jesus’ time would be a blue eyed, blonde headed child (but maybe one of your Facebook followers believes this and that’s why you believe it is so important to remind us of this fact).
The BLM movement is so much more than fighting against discrimination based on race or ethnicity. Joining this movement does not prove that you are a good person. Not going along with this movement does not make you a racist. This movement is an extreme attack contradicting itself on every front.
I will never argue that racism does not exist. I will never argue that I have a plenary understanding of what it means to live as a person of color in today’s world. My views are simply my views.
This social media trend started after a wrongful murder was committed by an officer of the law. Since then, many other murders have been brought to light. Many other horrible deaths and wrongs have been brought back up. I can only imagine what these families are going through having to relive these wrongs. Creating a martyr to move a political agenda is so wrong on every level. The disrespect disgusts me.
Fighting for equality is a beautiful thing. The fact that we have a voice in this free country is beautiful. We are able to see issues in this world and strive to enact policies and laws to correct our society. We work together as many different, unique individuals to ensure our country continues to offer freedom and opportunity. We fight for what we believe is right.
Before you join a team, learn about what they stand for. Fact check the information you are quoting. Wait until you have all the facts before reaching your own conclusions. Let go of your pride and listen to those around you. Listen to those going through things you can’t understand. Listen to those with differing opinions. Form your opinions based on facts, and be willing to change with new information. Live out your talk. Act upon what you preach.
