Life Is Now

Why don’t we romanticize life more? We spend all of our time caught up in making it through the week, meeting deadlines, and checking boxes. Why don’t we dance in the rain more? Why don’t we pull over to the side of the road and watch the sunset? Why don’t we cook food for the process of cooking instead of just having something to eat? Why don’t we spend 5 minutes to notice the little things?

We all have the time to do these things, we just choose to waste time on our phones, stressing over work, having mindless conversations, and so much more. Why don’t we take this week to relax amidst the chaos of life? Take a few extra minutes to notice the sky as you drive home after a long day of working. Instead of throwing something together last minute, plan out a meal and sit down and eat it without worrying about everything around you. Take a break in the middle of your busy life to breathe. Where you are right now is where you are supposed to be. Stop looking to the future for when you’re finally ____. Tomorrow will never come. Your life is happening right before your eyes and you’re letting it run away from you.
