As a kid each day you’re playing catch up as you attempt to become as old and wise as your parents. You keep running thinking you’ll catch up until one day you pause and look around. You’re a bit older and perhaps an eensie bit wiser, but they’re still just as far away except this time they’re even older and wiser than before. You stop and think. You realize the faster you run, the more you push them away; their time is short. You decide to quit your running and take life one step at a time. You want to cherish the present moments and be grateful for where you are right now. There will always be something just around the next corner, but it’ll wait for you to get there one step at a time.
